5 best places for school field trips in India

5 best places for school field trips in India

Travel is a classroom in itself. Not just for the eyes to see but to soak up in the culture and develop self awareness. Experience is undoubtedly the best teacher!

Schooling sometimes require that “something” that doesn’t necessarily demand paper & pen. There has to be a spark, a passion for the students to get going. So can that something be named a field-trip? Well, yes!

One personal benefit I’d like to mention before moving ahead is that the student’s relationship with the staff gets stronger in such trips which leads to betterment in their academic endeavors.

Here is a list of top 10 school field trip destinations:

1         Jim Corbett National Park – Uttarakhand

The first in my list is the Corbett National Park, formally known as Hailey National Park, located near the major cities of Chandigarh and Delhi. This is the first Tiger Reserve in India, covering an area of 520 sq.kms and is a home to 488 different species of plants and 600 species of birds.

·             The park offers exclusive summer camp for school students where they can enjoy activities like fishing, trekking, bird watching and river crossing.
·             To better the creative skills of the child, additional activities like craft making, cultural programs and yoga sessions are held.

Why go here? This park gives a golden opportunity to learn about the exotic bio-diversity of India.

 2         Munnar – Kerala

This place is not for students alone, but satisfies travelers of all age groups. Munnar is located at the union of three mountain rivers giving it a magnificent look with the much needed serenity.
·             Tea gardens, Eravikulam National Park, Anamudi Peak and the hydro-electric power station at Pallivasal are perfect spots for the children to observe life in real.
·             Students can enjoy camping, rock climbing, trekking, jeep safaris and boating.

Why go here?
To enrich the child’s knowledge, what can be a better place than a Tea museum and hydro-electric power station?

3  Matheran – Maharashtra

Next on my list is the smallest hill station of Maharashtra, Matheran, where the new life is far away from the old. This place is excellent for school summer break as the weather is pleasing.
·             Surprisingly, no vehicles are allowed in Matheran, not even a bicycle. The reason behind this is environmental safety – noise & pollution. The students get to experience a life different from what they live in.
·             They get to explore this place on foot. Children can also enjoy the toy train giving them a glimpse of the magical old world.
·             Students can also enjoy horse riding, trekking and the nature walks.

Why go here?
If you want kids to learn the concept of Echo, don’t miss this! Let them scream loud and hear the echo coming back through the valleys. Students learn the importance of environment and find peace away from the city.

4  Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium – Karnataka

The Nehru Planetarium is a wing of the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library.
The entry fee for school students is only Rs.30/- and adult is Rs.50/-.
·             A 40-minute movie at The Sky theatre, which is dome shaped, is played where the students see and learn about the constellations, stars, planets, galaxies and even shooting stars.
·             The students get a chance to walk past the living areas and personal office and also the place where our first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, breathed his last.

Why go here?
This is the best place to introduce astronomy to the students. Students get to see telescopes, projection boxes and solar filters too.

Taj Mahal – Agra, Uttar Pradesh

My favorite in the list is Taj Mahal which is one of the most symbolic trips in India, best to visit on full-moon nights.
·             This iconic beauty was built by an emperor, Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz. Their mortal remains buried in this Mahal.
·             This fascinating masterpiece is perfectly set in a symmetrical Persian style amidst beautiful gardens on the banks of river Yamuna.

Why go here? This is rated one among the seven wonders in the world. Students will witness work of the best architects, builders and craftsmen in the world and the precious stones sourced from all over Asia.

TURNING WORDS INTO DOLLARS

Power of Words! Really?

Being a city soul with M.B.A degree, I always had a mindset that taking up a full time job in a live office set up is the best opportunity! I get to interact with dozens of people, learn new things each day, multiply my social network and bla bla bla! I did take up a few!

Now there was the twist! I had to settle in a small Village after wedding where I joined an Army school in the administrative department, the only job option in my village. Thanks to the Indian setup, there are at least schools in the rural life to provide job opportunities to the educated ;-)

Soon I realised this was not a place for me. Like Rome was not built in a day, I prepared day and night for a year holding back in the same job and then t
here came a time when I actually had to resign. I did! No regrets! Some times in life you have to just Follow your dreams.

I knew I was at home, in a place away from the crowd, away from "my kind of life" in a tiny little village with countable places to check in and limited social interactions.

Countable: I really mean COUNTABLE!

Those butts of mine can never sit in one place for sure I knew. I decided to give it a try! Now, my thoughts moved, from a pin hole to a Volcano hole and bigger and bigger.

The world is now ONLINE is what came to my mind. I started that mad search of mine online sitting hours and hours with my only best friend in this place, my laptop! After a few days I realized YES! There were a plethora of opportunities right on my best friend's screen and I was actually wandering around.

Social presence is indispensable to make your virtual office function. I opened a platform for myself by launching my freelancing writing services through my website www.nehamadiya.com helping me gain more and more national as well as International clients.  I was the only boss! Nobody to scare me, nobody to yell at me! and I truly mean this.

With multiple projects coming up, my skills were improving. No doubt I had clients who did not pay or even get in touch after receiving the work. This helped me learn how to choose the right clients.

I also learnt a very crucial lesson from my past life: "To Say NO" This became my best philosphy. I managed to say NO to clients for writing at a lower pay than what I deserved

Negotiation skills being important in any business, "Quality Content" is the USP that will take you up in this Freelance Writing Industry.!

If a client asks you to provide a sample within 3 hours, I'd say, do it in 2 hours! But hey, do not compromise on the quality. "Timely-Quality Content" is just like the icing on your yummy cake.

"Alone we can do little, together we can do much" So Make a strong team
No matter if you are being paid by the client or not, make sure you pay your team timely as promised plus make their work comfort your priority.

Read, Read and Read! If you do not read much, you cannot write well.

Excel in your work and earning will automatically come to you. Who the hell would not love sitting at their comfort zone, being their own boss and earn day and night?

"Turning Words into Dollars" I now know the power and value of words. My Time, My Words and Content Quality are the most essential ingredients of my life today.

I wish the readers All the best for their endeavours and Remember to keep the determination strong.

Spark the Romance this New Year. But How?

Start this new year with new love and new memories to make!

When couples get too busy in their routine life, the newly-wed spark fades away gradually. You definitely need some extra effort to spark the romance again and again. This is not a one couple story but each pair passes through this time.

Try these sweet ways and keep your relation super hot and exciting!

Source: wisegeek.com

Sweetest Idea 1: Kiss and Kiss
The never fading and most intimate thing to do is kiss! Kiss each other day and night, in fact every some time! Kissing makes the bond strong and sweeter. Why not try a kiss the moment you wake up? the time you step out of shower? before moving to work? once you return from work? before you go to sleep? Phew! Hell lot of time and chances as well!

Sweetest Idea 2: Take some time out
Friends and families are an important part of life but there are times where you really need THE space for TWO to cherish all lovely times. You can go around on the weekend, spend some quality time, talk and talk and click some beautiful pictures together. A fresh couple will be back, trust me!

Sweetest Idea 3: Fun activity together
How about a couple spa or a bubble bath? Sounds interesting right? In-fact shopping or cooking can also do. Why not watching a movie? Well, think what you two can do and go for it. Fun creates healthy smiling between couples as they exchange more and more smiles at each other.

Sweetest Idea 4: No to Tech-Life
Take a break birdies. Facebook and WhatsApp or whatever! Get-A-Live! Keep aside the gadgets when you are together, having food, early morning and before going to bed. Live a real life with a real person besides you.

Sweetest Idea 5: Date night?
Take time and plan this night. Remember those good old times, the first year of wedding when dates were almost each week? what is the status now? No No No! Don't let it happen! Make an extra effort, dance, bring some flowers and cute gifts or let just the time spent on the special night be special!

I'm sure you have plenty more ideas. Don't you?  Plan them quick and make things special! Bring the lost love to life again!

5 MUST-RESOLUTIONS FOR ANY STARTUP

A whole year is gone and the next is on its way.
Possibilities are endless and so are the opportunities.

If you are planning for "self-improvement" and have taken resolutions for yourself, it is that time you take resolutions for your STARTUP business too.

Here is the catch!  More exercise this year, drink less, Read "n" no.of books etc, if these are the ones you planned last year and couldn't succeed, no harm trying them again this year!
But try to set " REALISTIC GOALS" for your startup business.

So what can the resolutions be?

1) Spend some in-depth time into the Product/ Service offering

Why? You won't laugh at the same joke for the 10th time, right? Then  why expect people to accept one type for years? Try to improvise even the smallest possibility.
How?  Get to know! Get to know your product/ service better and better. If you are selling a product, know the A to Z of it and yes, there lies a world beyond!

2) Engage everyday

Why? The success today depends on how active and spread you are not only physically but also virtually. The more people are aware of your offerings, the quicker and better will be your numbers.
How? Get yourself engaged daily through social media, connect well to the people and add some special value to your offerings.

3) Focus not only on the X money but on the Z Quality!

Why? The main aim of any Business is to earn X money, no doubt! But be sure, you cannot achieve that without the Best Quality.
How? Focus on improving the quality of the product or service you are offering. If you offer a New-Year Same Day delivery Service, make sure it completes with a smile on the face of giver as well as taker. Rest ben are, with this model, you can make the X money planned for the year.

4) Hire a Newbie

Why? Looking for more energy and enthusiasm at your work place? Newbies are the best givers! They stay up to date with the current happening and advancements in technology as well leading to  contribution of innovative ideas.
How? Presence of countless job portals makes it easy to hire the kind of talent you are hunting for. Plus, if you do not wish to invest in a physical office, Freelance movement is another raising market to look out for.

5)  Improve Your own self

Why? You know it even better than me!
How? Plan your own self better, make your own to-do's and also implement them. And, it doesn't stop there, keep Monitoring! Be a better communicator and Remember, no communication is complete with an effective response.

Time is ticking! Give your mind some free time and plan your personal as well as business resolutions for 2016. After all, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams!

A personal "ALL THE BEST" to all startups and happy holidays!
