5 MUST-RESOLUTIONS FOR ANY STARTUP

A whole year is gone and the next is on its way.
Possibilities are endless and so are the opportunities.

If you are planning for "self-improvement" and have taken resolutions for yourself, it is that time you take resolutions for your STARTUP business too.

Here is the catch!  More exercise this year, drink less, Read "n" no.of books etc, if these are the ones you planned last year and couldn't succeed, no harm trying them again this year!
But try to set " REALISTIC GOALS" for your startup business.

So what can the resolutions be?

1) Spend some in-depth time into the Product/ Service offering

Why? You won't laugh at the same joke for the 10th time, right? Then  why expect people to accept one type for years? Try to improvise even the smallest possibility.
How?  Get to know! Get to know your product/ service better and better. If you are selling a product, know the A to Z of it and yes, there lies a world beyond!

2) Engage everyday

Why? The success today depends on how active and spread you are not only physically but also virtually. The more people are aware of your offerings, the quicker and better will be your numbers.
How? Get yourself engaged daily through social media, connect well to the people and add some special value to your offerings.

3) Focus not only on the X money but on the Z Quality!

Why? The main aim of any Business is to earn X money, no doubt! But be sure, you cannot achieve that without the Best Quality.
How? Focus on improving the quality of the product or service you are offering. If you offer a New-Year Same Day delivery Service, make sure it completes with a smile on the face of giver as well as taker. Rest ben are, with this model, you can make the X money planned for the year.

4) Hire a Newbie

Why? Looking for more energy and enthusiasm at your work place? Newbies are the best givers! They stay up to date with the current happening and advancements in technology as well leading to  contribution of innovative ideas.
How? Presence of countless job portals makes it easy to hire the kind of talent you are hunting for. Plus, if you do not wish to invest in a physical office, Freelance movement is another raising market to look out for.

5)  Improve Your own self

Why? You know it even better than me!
How? Plan your own self better, make your own to-do's and also implement them. And, it doesn't stop there, keep Monitoring! Be a better communicator and Remember, no communication is complete with an effective response.

Time is ticking! Give your mind some free time and plan your personal as well as business resolutions for 2016. After all, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams!

A personal "ALL THE BEST" to all startups and happy holidays!

DIABETES AND INFERTILITY IN FEMALES, WHAT TO DO?

If a couple is trying to get pregnant for months and is facing difficulty conceiving, then it is time to check the blood glucose levels of the female at first. This is because a woman might have to encounter various medical conditions that would hamper her from becoming pregnant.
What is diabetes? – Diabetes is developed when the pancreas fails to function effectively. In this situation, the pancreas might not be able to produce the right level of insulin for the body. This is when the insulin controls the blood sugar levels and increases it. When it becomes high, it has the ability to damage the most important organs of the body.
Diabetes and infertility are linked. Diabetes is not the only reason that keeps a woman from getting pregnant, but in many cases, it is the cause that blocks a woman from becoming pregnant. Doctors explain that “if a woman does not keep her blood glucose levels under control, month after month the glucose level increases and the diabetes level would prevent the embryo from getting planted in her uterus.”

Nepal Earthquake - Another Major Crisis

“Another Crisis will hit Nepal Capital today – Sanitation” Times of India

Terrifying! Nepal Earthquake!

The massive earthquake hit Nepal on 25th April, 2015 with the aftershocks still continuing, getting milder each time. Fear in the hearts of the people and the loss around is breaking millions of hearts.

Feeling the quake myself for 3 times in 2 days was scary. I can imagine how the heartbeats of all those in Nepal would be. Alert 24*7, sleepless nights, horror and panic! Patna, Bihar, Siliguri, Delhi, Punjab and many areas are also affected.

I wonder what the situation will be like tomorrow and in a couple of days? Houses swept off, No gas supply, no water supply! What about the sanitation problems? The people there are already terrified plus this major crisis of sanitation will hit them more hard.

How long will they survive without water and proper food?

There are bodies and then then there are prayers. The damage is bad. How bad? Nobody exactly knows. Death toll is surging and is expected to rise in coming days. Continuous aftershock is a matter of great concern. Over 5000 people are injured in Nepal. Death roll crosses 2200. A NATIONAL EMERGENCY!

The relief work set by India is proving to be very helpful to the affected people. With a quick and powerful disaster management team India is putting in the best efforts to make people safe and bring basic needs to them.

Around 20000 Volunteers from Baba Ramdev's Patanjali are also serving the people there establishing seva kendras, providing food and shelter to those who have lost their families and all others.

All prayers and hopes.

OBAMA CARE – Advantages

What is ObamaCare?

ObamaCare is officially named as The Affordable Care Act (ACA) or The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) for the US citizens signed into law on 23rd March, 2010 by President Barack Obama.

Main focus: To increase quality, availability and affordability of private and public health insurance to the people through its various provisions.

ACA betters the health insurance industries and healthcare Industry in America. ACA has made innumerable changes; Acceptable as well as controversial!

ADVANTAGES OF OBAMACARE:

ObamaCare (the Affordable Care Act) provides many benefits, especially for low and middle income families and businesses. Certain insurance market reforms have already taken effect.

1.       AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE:
ACA has executed the 80/20 principle, which states health insurance companies must spend 80% of premium dollars on patient care, keeping profits and other costs limited to 20%. ObamaCare brings health care to people who cannot afford it.

2.       OVERALL COST REDUCTION:
ACA lowers overall health care costs by providing insurance for millions of citizens. This service helps the people before they need expensive emergency services.

3.       COVERAGE:

Added benefit is the child’s insurance. Parents can include their children up to the age of 26 in their own plan. Companies collect more premiums and hence receive more profit without higher costs for healthier individuals.

5.       Tax credit:
ACA provides tax credits for insurance to middle class. To make it easier, all states are required to set up insurance exchanges or use Federal government’s exchange.

6.       Medicaid:
ACA also expands Medicaid in 26 states to 138% of the Federal Poverty level, providing coverage to adults without children and giving Americans access to health care.

7.       Business Organisations:
a)      Businesses’ with over 50 employees must offer health coverage to its employees, but receive tax credits to help with the costs.
b)      Small businesses with less than 25 full time employees can get tax credits for up to 50% of their employees’ health insurance premium costs.

Each benefit, right and protection is a part of ObamaCare’s provisions. Changes are gradually falling in place. Everyone will benefit from this system. ObamaCare is helping millions of Americans without the health insurance access to affordable health coverage.

Modern Plastic Life

Using a plastic bag? A bottle of water? A computer? Or even a life saver air bag?
Imagine, if all this disappears.

Plastics are honoured for the numerous phases of modern life that each individual enjoys in today’s world. Be it sports, leisure activities, communication, safety and security, electronics, name any, the world is incomplete without it.

This industry manufactures polymer materials. The industry offers bountiful benefits to the people all over the world. It covers a range of industries right from the food industry, our very basic need, to the packaging and transportation, building and construction, aerospace, health care industry and many more. The services offered by this industry to the various facets of life are indispensable and quite essentials in the present world generation.

Recycling, which is a life saver of the future, is one main characteristic feature of this workable Industry. The process came to recognition during the environmental revolution of the late 1960s. The first recycling mill for waste Techniques was originally built it Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, which started functioning in 1972.

Here, the recycling refers to a process where the waste plastic is reprocessed to a useful product. The processed final product can be in several forms different from its original state. The processes to recycle are of varied types like Thermal depolymerisation, Heat compression and so on.

The procedure begins with sorting the items by their resin content. The plastic is sorted based on the type or on the colour. Once sorted, they are chopped into small pieces and chunks. These pieces are further cleaned to remove debris like paper labels, residue from the inside, dirt, dust and any other small contaminants.

After the cleaning process, the pieces are melted and compressed into tiny pellets called nurdles. In this state, the pellets are ready to be reused and designed into complete new and different products. In such industry, the recycled is hardly used to create the same or identical plastic item of its former self.

The fact that producing recycled plastic does not reduce the very need for virgin plastic. However, the recycling can reduce consumption of natural environmental resources like timber and several other products.

Common recycled Plastics are:
  1.  Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET, PETE)  Commonly used in soft drinks, butter jars water etc.
  2.   High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Commonly used in Milk, juice, water bottles, trash and retail bags.
  3. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Commonly used in cling films and PVC piping.
  4.  Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) Commonly used in frozen food bags, freezable bottles and flexible contained lids.
According to a report from Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), India generates 5.6 million metric tons of Plastic waste annually, with Delhi generating the most of it at municipality at 689.5 metric tons almost every day.

Any kind of help that saves the environment is worth doing. Recycling in this industry has come a long way since the beginning and continues to help reduce the amount of waste in our vicinity.

Use, recycle and re-use, are the golden phrases for our future generations.

Forget satisfaction, your beginning can be the end.
So ask yourself this question before you move ahead if you share similar values or not.

BE ON TRACK
If you have Finance as your core specialization, take up jobs in the similar field. Even if you have no job in hand for a couple of months, there is no point beating around the bush in other jobs. The employer is going to ask you that straight question on your face! Why did you get into a Selling job, when your qualification and interests show Finance?
So protect yourself from falling prey and be proactive.

GET COMFORTABLE
When you shop for the right shoes you walk and see if they are really comfortable. Isn’t it? Similarly, whenever you are choosing an employer, make sure you can adapt to the environment.
Is the work really flexible?
Is there a balance between work and fun?
Motivation, work culture and other factors that are on your priority list!
